Join us in discussions on how to make the best plan for your pasture and livestock in drought and post drought conditions
Pursehouse Rural Muswellbrook are proud to welcome all producers throughout the Muswellbrook and surrounding areas to our upcoming Producer Information Evening.
The evening aims to discuss drought and post drought infrastructure on farm, subsoil improvements, pasture management, seed variations and current trials, chemical application and animal health solutions, particularly vaccine and drenching.
Join Pursehouse Rural and some of Australia’s leading agricultural suppliers, in these talks, on Wednesday 19th February 2020 from 5.30pm at the Muswellbrook RSL. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
The evening will run as follows:
5.30pm – Welcome
6 – 6.30pm – Andrew Mulligan (Virbac Australia) discusses animal health, vaccine, drenching and drought / post drought nutritional requirements
6.30 – 7pm – Adam Little (Pasture Genetics) discusses subsoil improvements for pasture management in drought and post drought conditions
7 – 7.15pm break for refreshments
7.15 – 7.45pm – Ruth Keppie (Nufarm Australia) discusses safe chemical application near animals, decoding label and safety information, live mixing demonstration and Nurfarm innovations and new releases to improve your pasture management
7.45 – 8.15pm – Philip Stacy and Gary Zerner (AgSolutions) discuss soil nutrition, structure and biology, linking soil nutrition to livestock production, are your pastures palatable, understanding the opportunities and risks when grazing winter forage and dry pasture and livestock supplement advice.
8.15pm – Final questions
We hope the Producer Information Evening can provide help and guidance for producers who may have questions on how best to move forward in drought and post drought conditions. We hope to open up discussions around pasture management and infrastructure so we can put our best foot forward as we prepare for the upcoming season and the weather conditions it may bring.
