What’s Happening Across NSW This Month?

Over the coming weeks and into February 2019, there are a couple of things happening across our communities which we thought may interest our customers. The NSW Government have coordinated various events to open up discussion around the drought and drought support systems, as well as providing skills workshops for NSW farmers.

Connect Morning Tea

Have a cuppa and connect, the Connect Morning Tea offers a chance for farmers from communities across NSW to gather and discuss, well, whatever they wish really. Whether you would like to discuss the drought and the issues in your community or whether you would simply like a space to catch up with people facing a similar situation to you, the Connect Morning Tea can offer a safe space for all of that. With a cup of tea and cake on offer, you will have the chance to ask questions, get help with paperwork or advice on the support available to you.

This initiative will be running once a month across the region, between 10am and 1pm. Specific venues and dates as below:

  • 1st week of the month around Murrurundi / Timor / Wallabadah
  • 2nd week of the month around Gundy / Belltrees / Moonan
  • 3rd week of the month around Merriwa
  • 4th week of the month around Singleton

And in addition this month, a Pop Up Pantry will be coming to Murrurundi on Wednesday 6th February.

Drought Community Outreach Roadshow

The drought community outreach roadshow will be coming to Scone, on Tuesday 5th February. More details are to follow. But what we do know.. “This outreach is about putting communities in touch with support networks such as Government agencies, charity groups, and other organisations that can provide or facilitate crucial support services.
