Pursehouse Rural have just hosted our first Grower Study Tour visiting the USA for 2 weeks at the end of July this year. A total of 40 people, including 28 growers from across Northern NSW and Southern Qld traveled to the USA to look at American farming practices, technology, and machinery manufacture and to enjoy some sightseeing.
The group visited Nufarm in Chicago, Syngenta Seeds in Slater, Monsanto in St Louis, Precision Planting in Tremont and Climate Corp in San Francisco. The John Deere tractor cab assembly and Museum was also visited as well as tourist spots such as Alcatraz in San Francisco and St Louis Arch.
The trip was a resounding success and it is hoped will become a bi-annual event.
