Pursehouse Rural was originally established in 1960 by Fred Pursehouse in Werris Creek, NSW.  From its humble beginnings as a hardware store, it has grown to become a leading independent agribusiness and is a reputable supplier of agricultural chemical and farm supplies

The company's head office is located in Quirindi with the other NSW branches situated in Gunnedah, Mullaley, Boggabri, Narrabri and Coonabarabran.  The company expanded into Queensland during 2005 and now has branches in Pittsworth, Melrose and Allora: with the most recent branch opening at Clifton in April 2008.

Pursehouse Rural is a supplier of all agricultural requirements including seed, chemical, fertiliser, general merchandise and animal health.  The company offers specialised services including, Opti-Crop intensive crop management program, PR AG Services crop advisory program, Techspray ground application and GPS Farm and Field Mapping.

Late 2007 Pursehouse Rural partnered with AGnVET Services to purchase Queensland Cotton merchandise branches in Emerald, Moura, Theodore, St George, Cecil Plains, Walgett and Wee Waa.  This partnership trades as AGnVET Agribusiness Services.

Pursehouse Rural is also a member of the IHD group, allowing close relationships with major agricultural manufacturing and production companies. Close associations with these key suppliers ensures access to the latest technologies, providing the most advanced information, product range and services.

Our Company is very community orientated and is proud of the support we provide to our local communities including, local schools, sporting clubs, community projects and vital services such as the Westpac Helicopter service.
